Environmental Management System

SCHURTER started integrating environmental protection principles as early as 1990 and was one of the first ISO 14001 certified companies in Switzerland in 1996.

All of the company’s environmental impacts are analyzed, monitored, and improved.

In addition, a special focus is placed on saving resources, and on reducing emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gases.

Sustainability

The present Sustainability Report is based on GRI G3 guidelines and aims to document the current state of SCHURTER AG (SAG) in terms of sustainability. The Report is designed to serve as the basis for decisions relating to sustainability goals. SCHURTER picked the relevant economic, ecological and social or societal effects of its activities that are caused by the pursuit of the goals.


We have decided to apply the GRI Guidelines, because we want to inform our target groups comprehensively and transparently about our company’s focus on sustainability. The reporting of SCHURTER AG fulfils the advanced application level C. The GRI content index shows the location of the profile details and performance indicators in the fields in SCHURTER AG’s Sustainability Report.

Substance Information

  • RoHS

    ROHS conform products acc. Directive 2011/65/EU, Qualification and Information according Leadfree, Solder material. Product and Packaging Indication, as well as Product overview.


  • China RoHS

    Product overview lists, which will report the fulfillment for use the use of hazardous substances according China-ROHS requirements. (Abbreviation for Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances).


  • REACH

    REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry.


  • Halogen Free

    Halogens are a group of six chemical elements. The substances Fluorine, Bromine and Chlorine are relevant for electromechanical products, the other three elements (Iodine, Astatine, Unuseptium) are insignificant for technical applications.


  • Conflict Minerals

    SCHURTER complies with all national and other applicable laws and regulations. As a consequence, we are committed to keeping our supply chain free from conflict minerals which are covered by laws and regulations concerning the sourcing of minerals from conflict areas.


  • Certificates

    SCHURTER fulfills the requirements of different organizations and standards. Accordingly, compliance and achievement in different certificates will be documented for both products and the company.
